How Bluetooth trackers find your things
A tracker card or tag rings when it is near your phone and shows its last known spot on a map when it moves out of range. Some also alert you when an item leaves a safe zone. That is exactly what you need for a wallet, keys or a bag left in a cafe.
What to compare
Compare which phones the tracker works with, whether the battery is replaceable, and which alerts it offers. The reviews cover each point using the maker's published specifications.
No monthly fee
The makers of the tags and cards reviewed here state there is no monthly fee. Check the battery type in each review; a replaceable cell swaps in seconds.
Gadgets & tech: common questions
How does a tracker show where my wallet is?
Within range, the app connects to it by Bluetooth so you can make it ring. Out of range, the app shows the last known location, and trackers with alerts tell you the moment an item is left behind.
Is there really no subscription?
For the tracker tags and cards reviewed here, the makers state there is no monthly fee. Check whether the battery is replaceable, as that sets the practical lifespan.
Which tracker should I pick?
Pick by your phones and your needs. The iTagPro works on iPhone and Android and adds a two-way ring and geofence alerts. The reviews compare each product on those points.
How we review
We research the product page, the return policy and public buyer feedback, then read widely across verified retailer reviews, app store ratings, return policies and specialist sources to see where our experience matches the wider picture. Where a review cites a statistic, it is attributed to a named source on the page.
Our scores are an editorial judgement on a five point scale, not an average of other people's ratings, and we never publish an invented review count or aggregate rating. Lume-Trixa earns commission from some outbound links, which does not change a verdict.
